QVoice CDMA Testing – Then and Now

For those who can recall, QVoice started testing CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) networks with dual mode cdmaONE/AMPS test mobiles from Qualcomm. In those early days, the IS95 phone would fall back to AMPS whenever CDMA coverage disappeared. And reliably, QVoice tracked the back-and-forth switching between the two technologies.

Today, of course, QVoice uses the most up-to-date cdma2000/EV-DO terminals including Rev.A for enhanced uplink data rates for testing; giving users the vital measurements characteristics of any CDMA technology based network.
